Overview
Money is where a financial product stops being a demo. A member pays in, an agent collects, a payment moves, and every one of them has to land where it should.
For Foxl Chits Fund, a platform built for UK users, that was harder than it sounds. Chit funds don’t fit the standard mould for payment providers. This page is about how we found a route, and the bug that stopped transactions once we had one.

02
Challenge
When Payment Providers Say No
Chit funds sit in a sensitive financial category, so payment providers don’t treat them as ordinary customers. Two providers turned the project down.
That left a real question: if the usual routes are closed, can the platform take and move money at all?
Without payments, everything else on the platform has nothing to run on. Finding a provider that would support it wasn’t a coding problem. It was a search that had to succeed.

03
Solution
Finding a Route, Then Making It Talk
We found a workable route through Federal Bank. Getting approved was only half the job. The other half was getting two systems to understand each other.
One side of the integration expected accountNumber. Ours sent account_number.
Same meaning, different spelling, and the transaction stopped.
We traced the failure back through the request, found the mismatch and corrected the field mapping, so that both sides were finally speaking the same language.
Some of the hardest bugs aren’t dramatic. They’re one underscore hiding in plain sight.

KEY FEATURES
What the Payment Flow Does
Feature 1 - A Route That Works
Payments supported through Federal Bank, after two providers declined.
Feature 2 - Connected End to End
The app, the backend and the banking service exchange data correctly, with fields mapped between them.
Feature 3 - Part of the Platform
Payments work with the customer and associates apps, user management and the auction system, not on their own.

THE OUTCOME
Real Payments, Running
The payment flow is part of the live platform at foxlchits.com, handling real financial transactions for real chit fund operations.
Integration work rarely fails loudly. It fails quietly, in details like a field name, and finding those details is the job.
